What is today a café was originally a showroom for British car manufacturer Wolseley. The location was built in 1921 by William Curtis Green and is a jewel of beautiful Art Deco architecture. For the restaurant adaptation, the David Collins Design Studio successfully preserved the spectacular atmosphere of this architectural highlight. The old bronze chandeliers were still in good condition, and only a single new chandelier was needed for what had once been the non-smoking salon. Here, a delicate glass arm chandelier was chosen to create a contrast to the heavy bronze of the others. This is a typical Viennese original from the early 1930s—a perfect match for the interior.
