Located on Spiegelgasse in Zurich’s old town, not far from Neumarkt, limited stock presents a fine selection of handcrafted pieces born from a tradition of unique production methods and bringing functionality and beauty together.
In an almost 200-year-old workshop building above the medieval cellar of the old Barfüsserkloster friary, visitors can discover handmade artefacts from the traditional manufactories and art studios of the world, brought together and presented as if in an art show. The founders of limited stock, sculptor Hubert Spörri and interior designer Ulrich Zickler, do not decide what to sell based on common methods such as trend analysis, instead searching out their wares like hunters and gatherers. In addition to porcelain and ceramics, living and kitchen utensils, fragrances, and accessories, the product range includes an extensive selection of Lobmeyr glassware, from classic designs and modern interpretations and wafer-thin glasses to massive mugs. As limited stock says about their cooperation with Lobmeyr: “For almost 20 years, it has been a pleasure for us to have the honour of presenting the timeless and probably most elegant crystal glasses ever designed in our shop, which specialises in high-quality craftsmanship, and to share these beautiful products with our discerning clientele.”
