In the last 20 years, shrinking budgets and frequent renovations in the hotel industry have made high-quality chandeliers a rarity. Unless, of course, there is someone in a key position who cares about beautiful, exquisitely crafted chandeliers … like the Peters family of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, who invited us to make suggestions about the lighting of their ballrooms. After we viewed the premises and developed several options, the customer chose their favourites: We supply a large version of our Met chandelier for the small ballroom, called “the Library”, and manufactured three spectacular Empire chandeliers for the large ballroom. The ensemble is rounded off by an impressive number of sconces designed by Page Donhauser in 1968.
