After studying industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London, he founded his design studio in 1994. Ever since, he has been working in the fields of product design and spatial intervention, exploring experimental projects, using both industrial production and artisanal methods. Anastassiades always finds the perfect balance between improvisation and structure, control and intuition. He draws inspiration for his lights, furniture, and sculptures from nature, age-old connections to his roots in Cyprus, modernist history, art, and everyday life.

Both the “Flint” and the “Captured Light” glassware series tell very special stories. They present light and energy as mysterious entities worthy of protection, while also showcasing glass as a kind of artificial stone whose shaping mirrors the origins of humankind.
